Jay Stow
Open innovation and crowdsourcing specialist
I began to specialise in 'innovation systems', whilst studying for a MSc, in Environmental Technology and Economics, at Imperial College London, back in 2009. I went on to work at OmniCompete - an entrepreneurial young, London startup running innovation competitions. And then InnoCentive - a US-based 'innovation marketplace' specialised in world-class, scientific crowdsourcing. I've been working as an independent consultant since 2014, most recently undertaking a project researching climate change innovation systems for the Royal Society.

I've worked on innovation projects, all over the world, across a colourful variety of different fields and sectors. Including: pharmaceuticals, medical technology, data science, AI, computer vision, robotics, emergency management, information platforms, climate change, ecology, personal technology, hostage-rescue, biometrics, transport, infrastructure, disabilities-support, food-safety, digital education, cyber-security, etc. This experience has given me a panoramic overview of the technology and innovation landscape... and, hopefully, some useful insights regarding the impending Open Innovation Revolution.
